About Us

Industrial Press, Inc., publishes essential resources for the machining community and related manufacturing industries, offering a diverse list of titles for students, practitioners, and seasoned professionals. From metalworking and welding, machine tooling, engineering math to maintenance and reliability, supply chain and inventory management, and construction and design, our works contain vital information on the latest technologies, tools, materials, and processes.

In 2018, we are focusing on helping readers pass critical exams in their fields. Getting certified can lead to many improvements: a higher position at work, an increase in salary, a way to round out a resume to apply for a different job, or even  fulfillment of a lifelong dream.  And with top-notch resources in the areas of plumbing, welding, piping, and maintenance & reliability, Industrial Press offers invaluable references for a wide range of certifications. For those who may be past the certification stage, we have RCM3: Risk-Based Reliability Centered Maintenance, as well as groundbreaking titles for those in the field of supply chain management.

Our technical and reference titles preserve and expand legacy topics. Importantly, they remain abreast of the latest technology, including CNC programming, computer-aided-design (CAD), computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM), and programmable controls. The machines, their management, and supporting infrastructure of contemporary manufacturing science is well covered.

We continuously add valuable titles distinguished by pragmatic content. Industrial Press seeks new book proposals from subject-matter experts who are prepared to offer a strong, well-articulated message. Our blue-chip editorial team works in partnership with authors to ensure success.

Founded in 1883, IP’s singular mission continues to be the acquisition, development and sustained publication of technical books and references that strive for success in industrial education as they aid pragmatic day-day operations across all manufacturing disciplines. Our books enjoy broad popularity in trade schools and college classrooms as well as on factory and shop floors around the world.

MH30

Machinery's Handbook is now in its 30th edition.  This legendary title remains industry’s most comprehensive technical reference. Machinery's Handbook is a true “bible” of metalworking, machining and mechanical tradecraft. It continues the tradition of up-to-date contemporary specifications, standards, practices, and methods.

New features in the new 30th Edition include an expanded metrology section, new fluid power and powder metalurgy sections, and even more useful specs, including tap drill sizes for Unified threads, reaming allowances for drilling, standard mesh and grit sizes, rules for figuring tapers, and assembly with pins and studs. Plus, there has been extensive rework of major sections, increased metric content, and an improved Table of Contents for each section. We’ve also reset the text and updated tables, equations, and illustrations. As always, our coverage of industry standards is updated. To learn more about the history of Machinery's Handbookclick here.
